We had an excellent set of submisison this year and due to the exceptional high standard the CAPE Steering Committee has agreed to award 4 Blue Sky Awards for 2021. Congratulations to the winners and thanks to everyone who sumitted their project ideas.The winning projects are:
- Label free multimodal biosensing based on guided mode resonance sensor (LMB-GMR) - Pawan Shrestha
- Compact Pathogen Detector (ComPath) - Pelumi Oluwasanya
- Reconfigurable photonic crystal devices for wavelength-division multiplexing - Xin Chang
- High throughput fabrication of photonic nanostructured microparticles from droplet templates - Kate Sanders
The projects will start in January 2022 and report their outputs at the CAPE 2022 October event
